These terms govern your use of uhhh.ai — the desktop application available at uhhh.ai and the related backend services. By installing or using uhhh.ai, you agree to these terms.
1. What uhhh.ai is
uhhh.ai is a desktop application that helps you find a word you can't remember. You describe what you mean; the app suggests words. The free tier runs entirely on your computer; the Pro tier additionally routes some lookups through our cloud LLM proxy.
2. Your account
- You need to create a free account (via Clerk) to use Pro features. You're responsible for keeping your credentials safe.
- Don't share your account or device tokens with others.
- One paid subscription covers personal use across your own devices. Commercial / team accounts are out of scope for v1 — contact us if you have a use case.
3. Acceptable use
- Don't use uhhh.ai to generate, store, or transmit illegal content.
- Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the service or the proprietary cloud models behind it.
- We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that abuse the service (e.g., scripted lookups, attempts to extract model weights).
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Pro is sold as a recurring subscription (monthly or annual) or as a one-time lifetime purchase, through our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Limited.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time via the customer portal linked from the desktop app's settings. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access until the period you've already paid for ends.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. AI-generated suggestions
- uhhh.ai's suggestions come from large language models. They may be wrong, biased, or inappropriate.
- Don't rely on uhhh.ai for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or professionally-binding decisions.
- We make no warranty about suggestion accuracy.
6. Privacy
What we collect, what we don't, and how we use it is covered in our Privacy Policy. In short: you can use the free tier without an account and we will collect nothing. If you sign in we'll ask whether you want to contribute anonymized usage data (your choice, changeable any time). We never store the raw text of your queries.
7. Intellectual property
- The uhhh.ai software, brand, and content are ours. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use them.
- The words and suggestions the app produces for you are yours to do whatever you want with.
8. Disclaimers and liability
- uhhh.ai is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to uhhh.ai is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
- We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version at uhhh.ai/terms and, if the changes are material, notify you by email or in-app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
10. Termination
- You can stop using uhhh.ai any time. Cancel your subscription, delete your account, uninstall the app.
- We can terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when feasible.
11. Copyright / DMCA
If you believe content displayed in or by uhhh.ai infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to support@uhhh.ai. Your notice must comply with 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3) (identify the work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a good-faith statement, a statement under penalty of perjury, and a signature). Counter-notices per §512(g) go to the same address. We respond to valid notices within 10 business days.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — fill in once your legal entity is formed]. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts there.
